Heritage House

Heritage House has 2 floors, for the children to learn, explore, play and socialise. The nursery is split into 2 classrooms, Rosebuds (6months – 3 years) and Treetops (3 years – 5 years). At Applepips Heritage House we work hard to provide a nurturing home from home environment for the children to thrive in.  
 
Our nutritious snacks and meals ensure that young ones are kept full of good energy to keep them going during the day and our flexible childcare allows parents to get the best fit for both their needs and those of their children.
The setting benefits from a large outdoor space which is split into 2 areas, the older children (Treetops) get to make use of the large lawn area, where they get the opportunity to explore in all weathers. The Rosebuds have full use of the large, decked area in the garden where they get to enhance on their physical development daily. 
 
The nursery is registered to care for 25 children at any one time and work by providing the children with well-planned enriching activities to support them on an individual basis. 
 
Our fantastic team are all fully qualified and are passionate about providing good quality childcare for children aged 6 months – 5 years. 

The Heritage House Team

Tracy - Nursery Manager

Tracy is our Nursery Manager, she is level 3 qualified and has worked in childcare since she was 17 and has been our Nursery Manager since we opened in 2015.  Tracy has lots of experience with working across all age groups in a variety of different settings.  Tracy is our lead SENCO within the nursery and enjoys being able to support many different children through their journey at Applepips.

During her free time Tracy enjoys spending time with her two daughters.

Jem - Deputy Manager

Jem is our setting Deputy Manager, who is qualified to level 3 in childcare. Jem has lots of experience in early years and has focused many years in caring and supporting our younger friends. In her spare time Jemma enjoys spending time with her family. 

Karen - Senior Practitioner

Karen is our Senior Nursery Practitioner, who is qualified to level 3 in childcare. Karen enjoys working with our younger friends in the nursery. Karens favourite activities are singing and having cuddles. In her spare time Karen enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. 

Katie - Level 3 Practitioner

Katie is our level 3 practitioner. Katie enjoys supporting the children with their social and communication skills. In her spare time Katie enjoys socialising with friends and going to the gym. 

Kelly - Level 3 Practitioner

Kelly is our level 3 practitioners. Kelly has experience working with a variety of ages but currently enjoys working with our younger friends. Kelly enjoys being creative with the children. In her spare time Kelly enjoys socialising with friends and spending time with her family. 

Emma - Level 3 Practitioner

Emma is a level 3 practitioner. Emma has lots of experience with our older friends. Emma really enjoys creating masterpieces with the children. In her spare time Emma likes to socalise with friends, enjoys activities with her children and baking a variety of delicious goodies.

Shannon - Level 3 Practitioner

Shannon is a level 3 practitioner. Shannon has lots of experience with a variety of ages. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family. Shannon also enjoys playing football and is a keen Brighton fan. 

Emilie - Bank Staff

Emilie is a member of bank staff who works across both our settings supporting across the nurseries where needed. Emilie has lots of personal experience with children including volunteering when her children were younger at their Nursery. Emilie has recently started to work towards gaining her level 3 childcare qualification. In her spare time Emilie enjoys spending time with her family, reading, walking her dog and art. 

The nursery is registered with Ofsted and awaiting our first Ofsted inspection. 

Our Rosebuds classroom is home to children ages 6 months – 3 years. They have 3 classroom areas with toys at a low level for the children to have the freedom to explore, we encourage the children to make their own choices about what they would like to play with. We have a dedicated space to enjoy messy and craft activities. We also have low level table and chairs for the children to enjoy socialising at mealtimes together. 
 
The children have access to the decked area in the garden which is set up just for our younger friends to explore and develop their physical skills.

Our treetops classroom is home to our biggest children 3 – 5 years, we have up to 14 children per session. The daily routine allows the opportunity for the children take part in a variety of adult led activities as well as being able to choose where they learn and play. The children are planned for and supported as individuals to ensure that the children are prepared for the next stage of ‘big school’. The children have lots of opportunity of explore and develop in our large outdoor space.
